That Sleepy Look

This one is for the Round Robin Challenge over at Swirlydoos forum. Basically there are four scrappers in a group and all scrapper #1 will make a layout and reveal on a certain day, then scrapper #2 will lift the first layout and reveal the next week and so on and so forth. You get the picture, right?

I am scrapper #2 in my group and I get to lift Nike's beautiful layout. I didn't want to make it exactly like she did, so I twisted the LO 90 degrees clockwise and reduce the layering. The latter is mainly because I suck at layering.. LOL!!

So here's my take:

Sanded the chipboard alphas to get the distressed look.

I added some glossy accent on some parts of that pretty Basic Grey cutout, just to give it some dimension. Not sure if you can see it clearly or not.

Nadiah getting ready for a big yawn....

You can go HERE to see all the submissions and do visit the page again next Friday and the Friday after that to see the end result of the lifts. It should be fun. I wonder how much different would the last LO turn out to be from the first??

Materials used:
Patterned papers: Cosmo Cricket, Prima Marketing, Basic Grey. Flowers: Prima Marketing. Alpha stickers: American Craft, Collage Press. Journaling card: Jillybean Soup. Others: Th Distress ink pads, mulberry paper leaves, lace, Ranger Inkssential Glossy Accent, doiley paper.

Target: 100 layouts
Done: 15 layouts
To do: 85 layouts
