ATC: All About You ATC Swap

This month I joined an ATC Swap hosted in Scrap-N-Crop Forum. It's fun... 12 people joined where each have to make 11 ATCs to give out to the others. At the back of the ATC we are to write down our name, email, blog, address and anything else we would like the others to know.



I made 6 different designs; 2 of each. Well, they are actually the same design, but using different techniques. Here are my six:

Another Mystery Box

I got back from KL last night. It was a long and tiring drive with rain pouring all the way. But what a nice welcoming home feeling when I saw a 'mystery box' waiting for me. Yeay!! Finally it has arrived.

Yes, bought myself another mystery box off eBay last month. But admittedly this wasn't as nice as the first one. Loads of stickers though. Some papers, a packet of eyelets, a packet of snaps, a packet of lovely blue bling-blings, a book of Making Memories alpha rub ons and more and more.

Oh, and also a cute blue and brown scrapping tote.

Sticker Albums

Now that I've got loads of stickers, I'm finding it hard to store them neatly. I used to keep them in a clear folder but I find that they keep sliding in and out of the pouches. And the folders is getting really fat. So last night I made an album for the little ones like Jolee's Boutique etc. I've made two and planning to make more for the alphas and numbers. It's easy to browse through and are not so thick and fat.

ATC

Artist Trading Cards or ATC is defined by Wikipedia as "individual art miniatures which pass hand to hand. Their current popularity among artists and hobbyists was sparked by M. Vänçi Stirnemann, who began trading sessions in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1997, and popularized ATCs via the internet"

I understand that the only rule for an ATC is that the size should be 2.5" x 3.5", which is the same size as a commercial trading cards such as baseball cards. The 'artist' usually sign and date the back of the card and generally made for trading purposes.

For the first time I am taking part in a trade hosted by Scrapperlicious in Scrap-n-Crop Forum, which will be between 12 participants. I guess I am one of the 'artists' :D. Am very excited to be part of this ATC swap and have been giving it a lot of thought of what my card would be like. I'll post here when they are done.

RM15 Challenge

December challenge for Lovescrap Forum entitled: RM15 Challenge. You are to create a layout using items that cost no more than RM 15.00. This was quite a toughie but I managed. Here are my list of supplies:

1. Bazzill Cardstock RM 2.55
2. American Crafts double sided patterned paper

And the result... ta da..!!!


I cut out the flowers from one of the pattern papers and layered them, using double-sided foam tape to add dimension.

Friends Forever

I hosted an online crop on Lovescrap Forum a few weeks ago. It was a stamping technique which used masks which was fun to do. This is the one that I had done to teach the technique.

Irfan

A layout I made for my adorable nephew Irfan. It was kinda a surprise present for his parents for Irfan's first birthday in November.



Again I stamped blue ink on the alphas and embossed the silver dots on them.

Here I took a piece of white cardstock and stuck the word 'boy' on it. Stamped the whole piece with blue ink and sprinkle some clear embossing powder all over and heat. When it's harden, I used tweezers to pick out the stickers. And voila!! It gives a negative effect.

Nadiah

Here's layout of darling daughter. I printed the picture in black and white and pick out the colours for the layout accordingly.

I used chipboard alphabets to spell out her name. First I painted the letters "n", "d" and "a" with white acrylic paint and inked the letters "a", "i" and "h" with Tsukineko Brilliance: Lightning Black. Then I stamped images on the letters to emboss. Gold for the lightning black and silver for the white.

Cyprus

I'm going to start a travelling album. I've already done a couple and last week I finished another one. This is a 2 page layout which I did of my trip to Cyprus in 1995.

Nadiah's Little Scrapbook Album

Whenever I sit down to scrap, my daughter would come and sit next to me so that she could "help". Everyday, she would take out the Zoo Album to add more embellishment or to pick out some of the stickers on the pages. I got tired of always having to grab the book from her that I decided to make an album just for her to do with whatever she wanted.

I first got her her own embellishment box with buttons of every colour and some mosaic tiles etc. I also got her a few sheets of animal stickers. And lastly, I made a 4x4 mini album where she can stick her owm pictures and embellishments.

Made a Good Luck card for G as his SPM exams starts today.

Tooth-less Smile

I caught the perfect picture of Nadiah giving a big smile after she lost her tooth. What an adorable picture of her lying on the grass. So I decided to scrap a layout.

For the first time I tried out sewing on a layout. It was great fun. Maybe next time I can try stitching two papers together. I also tried out my new chalk set by dabbing along the outer edges of the cardstock. Chalks can be great fun too...

My first try at stitching on the letter "L". As you can see I made a muck out of it. That suttle tone of red is the chalk effect. I should have used orangey colour but the chalk pallet set did not come with orange.

"Field" Day

I love this picture of Nadiah and Amir rolling on the grass laughing their heart out. I don't think they actually know what they were laughing about but what a great moment to catch on film.



For this layout, I used my new Basic Grey Chipboard Alphas for "F" and "Y". I painted the blue with acrylic paint and stamped the orangey image. They look quite stunning but when I scanned, the colour was a little bit off. But am quite happy with the end result.

Magnificent Four

This is a layout I made for a challenge I introduced on Lovescrap forum. The challenge is to NOT use any patterned papers. Here's my end result



I divided the white cardstock into four sections. Stick two dark brown cardstock on upper left and lower right corners and stamp and emboss a flower image in them. The gold of the emboss just jumped right off the page. Stunning!!





Then I took another piece of lighter brown cardstock and distress a little. Tear one side of it and punched holes along another side to make it look like I just ripped the paper out of a spiral bound notepad. It looked great. I love this layout!!

G's Birthday Card

G's 17th birthday was last Wednesday so I decided to make a card for him myself. Nothing too fancy, just using the tools that I've got.

Top Of The World

I decided to try out the Making Memories Travle Kit that I got off ebay. But not all the items are from the kit. Only the patterned paper, word stickers, alphas for the word 'TOP' and the compass accent. All the others are from my other collection.

YOU

This layout I made was for a challange titled: A Masculine Layout, held in Lovescrap Forum. Since using flowers would not have been masculine, I decided to make a necktie out of a strand of blue checked ribbon, which matched hubby's shirt in the bottom picture.
