Phew!! I finally finished the accordion mini album. This one I made everything from scratch. Bought a big chipboard sheet and cut out seven 5"x6" page pieces. I decided to name this album Nadiah.... The First Year. It shows Nadiah's photos from when she was a month old till a year old. Each two of the 14 pages has the same background but with different layouts. They are connected with ring binders and tied with a strand of ribbon so that I can hang them up for display.

hi
looks great...just wanna know...where to get the chipboard sheet...
Hi. Thanks. I got the chipboard sheet at a stationery shop. Really cheap.. cost me RM2.20 only for an approx 26" x 36" sheet
That's lovely. And creative too.
Thanks, PM
i have been looking through a few stationery shops.so far belum lagi jumpa the chipboard...yg ada mounting board saja.. kalau guna mounting board ni kadg-kadg dia melengkung.
Yes, mounting board kadang melengkung. Ada satu lagi board called Illustration Board. This is slightly more expensive than mounting board (but not more than RM10) tapi it's firm and straight. I penah beli kat Popular Bookstore. It looks like mounting board but usually wrapped in plastic. Maybe you can try and check that out.
i pi a few kedai stationery..tanya depa ada dak chipboard..ramai tak tahu..so just now i pi one kedai art n stationery..i tanya n explain sikit ..dia kata strawboard ke..i kata tak..then dia tunjuk the strawboard..it looks like a chipboard..price not as cheap as u got..the thinner one 3.80 the thicker on 4.50..but still beli jugak la..ok thanks anyway
actually, you can use any sort of board as the pages. it's just that chipboards are cheap, light and easy to cut.
Anyway, good luck with your project. And don't forget to share the photos with us. ;-)
Stumble upon this blog sometime back and i find this idea very good. I made a similiar one (in simplied way) for my girl too.
Thought it's a courtesy to let you know. Thanks a bunch. You did an excellent job.
