Sea Swept

When I started this layout, I didn't like how it was going and decided to put it aside for a little while. Little did I know that 'a little while' will turn up to be months later. I had almost forgotten about it and doubt that I would remember had I not given my scrap area a thorough clean up.

After staring at it for 15 minutes I decided to just go with the flow.

I didn't have much of a beach-y themed embellishment but found these cool cork thingy which came in a RAK I got from Yuz. Thanks, Yuz. They really save this layout from being abandoned again :D
Topping the corks are metal flowers and leaves from Tim Holtz collection. They are just awesome!! Then there's that Prima crystal swirlys which I dabbed some alcohol ink to make it not so bling-bling.

I decided to paint some texture with acrylic paint and bubble wrap, just to give the background some patterns.

These rocks I bought ages ago and remembered I have them at the last minute and added some gold spiky stars which I dabbed with alcohol ink and topped with mossy green crystals.

The picture is of Nadiah sitting on the edge of the beach being swept by the waves, thus the title 'Sea Swept'. That was taken at the Teluk Kemang beach in Port Dickson, which was Nadiah's first experience with the sea. I've just realised that I've forgotten about the journaling for this layout, and can't think of a suitable place for it. Well, if worse comes to worse, I could always journal at the back of the layout.
