Sand & Water

Here's a simple layout I did of Nadiah's name written in the sand and being slowly wiped away by the sea water. I didn't feel like an elaborate layout for this with too much embellishment and kept it fairly simple and clean.

That watery clear crystals looking like they are being washed up by the see onto the paper is actually crystal granules which I sprinkled on wet glue and left to dry. It gives a nice effect, I think. Added a couple of fabric flowers from Prima to give a finishing touch.

I love that film strip ribbon from Tim Holtz, layered with a kraft ticket from Maya Road on which I stamped "in dreams we catch glimpses of life larger than our owm", also from Tim Holtz. Although I have to say that my stamping was appalling with blurry image. I definitely needs to stamp more!!

Most of the items I used came from a mixture of Swirlydoos kits, except for the kraft ticket and the glittered alphas. I think I should have title the layout Sand & Sea, which has a nice right to it. Unfortunately I've already glued down 'water' before realising my mistake. Well... just go with it, I tell myself!!

Materials used:
Pattern papers: My Mind's Eye, Creative Imaginations. Flowers: Prima Marketing, Swirlydoos. Tim Holtz film ribbon. Tim Holtz Stampers' Anonymous stamp. Kraft ticket: Maya Road. Crytal granules: Swirlydoos. Others: Tim Holtz distress inks, Tattered Angels glimmer mist.

Target: 100 layouts
Done: 58 layouts
To do: 42 layouts
