I'm Lovin It (TS #024)

It's week 24 at Twisted Sketches and this week's twist is DISTRESS; anyway you like it. Please go here to see the sketch and the other DT's splendid work.

This is my take:

I have to admit that this is not one of my best. With a theme like 'distress', I know I could have done better. It being one of my favourite techniques. But I've been out of town since last week and over the weekends, not to mention that life has been so hectic with Nadiah's end of school term that I hardly had any time to stop and think. Oh well....

Anyway, instead of using my distress inks, I chose a dry distress technique on the edges of the paper and the cardstock. The black cardstock is from Core-dination which has a pink core but it's not showing too well in the picture.

I love those Prima flowers which are new and had to use immediately. Also those mulberry paper leaves which I found at a local haberdasher store.

Photos are of Nadiah having ice-cream and a Happy Meal at McDonald's, her most favourite place in town!!!

Materials used:
Cardstock: Core'dination, Bazzill Basics. Patterned paper: 7Gypsies. Alpha stickers: Basic Grey. Flowers: Prima Marketing. Journaling card: Collage Press. Others: Heidi Swapp paper distresser, paper leaves, a leather thong.
