SIC May Challenge - Blast From The Past

This month at ScrapInspireCreate, the challenge is A Blast From The Past. To scrap those sepia looking photos, the black-and-whites or even the coloured ones printed on old Kodak photo papers.

I guess for this challenge I couldn't scrap on Nadiah as she is not old enough to have really old photos. And so decided to unearth old photos of myself somewhere from the 70s to the 90s. Instead of scanning those photos, I rephotographed them which took less time and printed them in two different sizes and made a collage.

I also have this chipboard word "Pieces of Me" from ScrapFX that has been collecting dust and just perfect for the title.

Do hop over to the blog and try out the challenge!!

Materials used:
Patterned papers, flowers and crystal swirls: Prima Marketing. Chipboard word and swirls: ScrapFX. Chipboard clock face: Heidi Swapp. Cllock rub ons: Maya Road. Journaling card: Teresa Collins. Vintage words: Collection Elements, Pearls and blings: Kaiserkraft. Metal flower and butterfly. Tim Holtz Distressed Inks, acrylic paint, Adirondack alcohol ink.

Target: 100 LOs
Done: 78 LOs
To do: 22 LOs

Love what you did in this layout babe!! That distressed look....fantastic! Loving that combination of swirl blings & chipboard.
Btw, is that you when your were young? Am so used to looking at layouts of Nadiah that I almost thought it's her! :)

Thanks, babe. You know I'm very into the distressed and old and vintagey look so this challenge was a godsend and I loved every minute of doing it.

And yeah, that's all me... and she does kinda look like me. Especially that picture nest to the journal... same hairstyle :D
