Scrappin Kids Ultimate Scrapper Season 2 - Day 1

In celebration of the National Scrapbooking Day, which is on the 3rd May, Scrappin Kids is having the second season of SK Ultimate Scrapper challenge from 1st May to the 3rd over at the forum. Last year I missed it and was so disappointed and this year I made sure that I register for it really early on.

And so today marks the first day of the challenge and the first was posted at 9am this morning by Wati.

Challenge #1
Do a layout of what Scrapbooking REALLY mean to you.
I need to see journalling and you can only use 1 pattern paper and 1 cardstock on the layout
Other embellishment is fine
Pictures are optional

*Layout due at 9pm
Materials used:
Cardstock: Core'dinations. Patterned paper, felt branches, flowers: Prima Marketing. Chipboard owl: ScrapFX. Rub ons: Pink Paislee, Maya Road, October Afternoon. Chipboard alphas and buttons: Making Memories.

Challenge #2

"I like to see a colour scheme layout...and I pick BLACK & WHITE!! You have to do a black & white colour layout. NO other colour on the layout. Only these are allowed : 1. Black & White photo (single or multi) 2. Black ink 3. Black & White pps, cardstock and embellishment"

*Layout due at 2am

Cardstock: Core'dinations. Patterned paper: Autumn Leaves. Journaling card: Luxe Designs. Chipboard heart: Bazzill Basics. Alphabets: American Craft, K&Co. Flower: Prima Marketing. Rub ons; Cosmo Cricket. Rubber stamp: Hero Arts. Others: Lace trim, Pearl paint.

So that ends the first day. The challenge will continue tomorrow at 10am. I'll update more as we go along...
