I got my Swirlydoos kit this month full of beautiful embellishment but unfortunately I've been so busy that I've only came out with one layout so far. It's a shame because I got some pretty papers and lots of flowers.
But I am happy that I managed to create another layout based on the sketch by Beggahuna that comes together with the April kit. See the sketch HERE.
This is my take:
See that frame? That's from Pink Paislee Artisan collection. If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do. It's so versatile and I was quite surprised that the texture is actually soft and rubbery. I had imagined it hard. Here I spritzed it with Glimmer Mist and blended in some distress ink, giving it a soft peachy colour.
Here's another product from the kit that I love. It's Prima's dimensional alphas. The letter itself is cream in colour and is made of a shiny lacquer that is soft, somewhat gel-like, and fused onto a piece of white felt. Left on it's own, the letters would have been swallowed by the colours of the papers. So I stick them on my craft sheet and started spritzing generously with my Glimmer mist. Then just dab the access from the letters and leave the felt to dry. And voila!! The colour matches the frame and that big beautiful peachy Prima flower. Nice huh?
I can't wait to use more of the alphas, using different colour mists....
Materials used:
Patterned papers: Webster's pages. Flowers, pearls and alphas: Prima Marketing. Frame: Pink Paislee. Others: Glimmer mists, TH Distress ink, lace trim.
