Love Is Album

Sneak peak revealed: an album I made for Scrappingville. It's part of the Valentine's Day themed project. You can check out the actual album at Scrappingville, 2nd Floor, Bangsar Shopping Center.

Part of the kit that I received was a sheet of 12x12 Hambly Screen Prints Clear Overlay. I loved that overlay!! Cut it down to 6 pieces of 6x4 sheets to make a clear album. I then cut out the cardstocks to form the word LOVE of each section of love in celebration.

I didn't want to overload this post with too many picture, so each page is shown in the slide show below. Enjoy and thanks for looking!!

A 5-Year Love Affair

This is a 12x12 LO I did for a challenge at Smidapaper. They usually have great challenges and even better prizes, though I've never entered one before. So this is a first for me.

The challenge is to create a layout which includes the word LOVE and the number 5. All else are up to the participant. Here's my take:

First I chalk the cardstock with pale pink to give it some shadows and not leave it too black. Then I ink the sides with Brilliance: Pearlcent Pink. Paste patterned papers and the main photo. Arrange flowers - I used double pop dots for some to add dimension. Added buttons, blings and brads for the centers. I also used alpha beads to spell out 'love' for the flower centers.
Cut of the frame centers from pattern paper and added tiny photos, stick on raw chipboard and added glossy accent on the frames. Inked the number 5 and painted the letters l, v and e with acrylic paint. Punch out photo and pasted on a circle chipboard to make the letter 'o' for the word 'love'. Used stickers for all the other words and lastly, added a journaling card topped with brads and a sticker on raw chipboard.

MATERIAL USED Cardstock: Bazzil Basics. Patterned Paper: Making Memories (pink), Autumn Leaves (stripes, green). Flowers: Prima Markerting, Heidi Swapp. Brads: Making Memories (round), Frenchville (flower, heart), Doodlebug (heart). Journaling card: 7gypsies. Chipboard: Basic Greay (5, l, v,e, photo circle). Sticker: Making Memories (5, year), Provo Craft (affair), Bazzill Basics (hugs & kisses). Rub ons: Fancy Pants Designs. Inks: Tsukineko. Acrylic paint: Alpha. Chalk: Craft-T Products. Alpha beads: Apple Beads. Blings, Buttons: own collection.

Online Crop 2

We had another online crop hosted by Michelle last night. It started at 9 pm but i was late getting back from Sg. Petani and only joined in the fun around 9.30 pm. Here are the LOs that I produced

Challenge 1:
To use as many flowers as you can in the layout

CHALLENGE NO 2:
To use more than 3 photos in your layout

CHALLENGE NO 3:
To scrap something about your culture e.g. Hari raya, CNY or Xmas or any festival

Mind you, I was quite tired last night and had a scrapper's block. The flowers for the first LO was really a "stick-'em-anywhere-as-long-as they-are-on-the-layout" kinda situation. That reminds me.. i have to stock up on my flowers soon!!

D = such a Darling

Made this layout as part of Scrap-n-Crop challenge. Although the submission time was at noon but since I've already done it, might as well send it in.

I printed the picture on paper and burnished on to strips of packing tape. A technique I've been wanting to do for some time now. Next time I'll try to do a coloured picture.

Recipe Swap

I took part in a Recipe Swap held at Scrap-N-Crop Forum and has finally finished my recipe cards. I prepared a recipe for Tom Yum Kung.

So far I have received from Nad and Michelle. There are still 6 more recipes to go. I found a box which fits the recipe cards nicely. I can't wait to receive from everyone so that I can fill up the box. Later on I'll try to add more recipes which are in my file folder at the moment. I love just looking at the box. It just makes me feel like cooking something up... :D

Tags for Charity

Scrappin Kids Care is holding a charity drive. They have pledged to provide 250 tags to Club Rainbow for their Annual Party in March 08. Please visit Scrappin Kids Blog for more details.

I am doing my bit and pledged 15 tags. The tags can be of any shape or size but they must be of chipboard element. Here are my 15. Will be mailing these out ASAP.

Simply Adorable

Here's another sneak peak reveal. A layout that I made for Jessy for the Photo Swap Challenge in Scrap-N-Crop Forum. All participants were to submit a photo which would then be distributed to a secret partner who would then make an LO, and then mail the finished LO to the partner.

N Tag

Ok here's the full picture of the previous sneak peak. An N Tag which I made for Nad. Just a simple tag with embossed image, flowers, blings, vellum butterfly stickers, a strand of ribbon and a chipboard letter N.
