Mini Album

Just got back from KL and I bought loads... I mean LOADS of scrapbooking stuff. I practically went to every scrapbooking shop in the area and some even twice!!

I decided to make a gift for a friend's daughter, Dania, so I went to Scrappingville in Bangsar and bought an unadorned 6x6 Maya Road Binder Book.

I only put in 2 pics. The rest would be up to Dania to choose whatever pics or additional embellishments to add.

Here's the result:

See the stamping effect on the upper and lower borders? Those are made using a foam stamp that I made myself. Am so proud with result...

Self-made Stamps

I was browsing online for some scrapbooking products and... man, are they expensive or what!! So I was thinking, what could I make myself that would reduce the expenses?

I had bought some foam sheets to make my own flower embellishment and I thought of foam stamps. And voila.....

I cannot wait to use them in my next layout. I just need to get some blocks to mount the stamps. And hope to make more designs.

New Papers

YES!! I'm finally going to use the 'proper' scrapbooking papers that I recently bought. Since the background paper is a double sided patterned paper, I didn't want to waste the other side of it. So I did 2 LOs using one background paper.

Big Smile

Vroom...

Both LOs basically uses the same papers but in different styles

2nd Birthday

I'm going to make an album especially for Nadiah's birthday each year. Here is her 2nd

One that I made dedicated to the two most important people in my life

A Newborn Scrapper

I first became aware of the world of scrapbooking a few years ago. But wasn't really intereted and only gave it a passing glance.

Then, a few months ago, I bought a scrapbooking magazine hoping to pass some time waiting for hubby in McDonald's. And also, it was one of the cheapest magazines I could fine (all the other cheap ones are those gossipy type magazines).

There are so many things to learn about scrapbooking. The 3 most important thing to remember is that the materials to be used must be acid free, lignan free and PVC free.

Since there are no scrapbooking store in Alor Star, it was difficult trying to get the right materials. So I had to make do.

My first attempt is of Nadiah's 1st birthday:
