My Precious

Ok, here's a layout I'm very excited to have done. It's my first time using a clear acetate sheet. I got that Maya Road Black Sheer Sheet from Scrapingchix. So you might wanna check it out there if you want to grab some. I've had it for months and have been contemplating what to do with it. I thought of cutting it up but it's too beauiful to cut up. Then yesterday while I was looking through my stash, I came upon my Perfect Pearls and I just knew they would be the perfect choice!! So I just started dabbing several colours of PP on the sheer sheet and it came out so beautiful.

I kept the rest of the layout simple to emphasis on the background but I just can't resist my new Prima Say It In Crystals (love, love, LOVE those!!), a Riff Raff butterfly, flowers which I diecut with my Big Shot (finally I use the thing!!), wording strip from Bo Bunny and a chipboard frame from Fancy Pants Designs.

Thankful 4 U

About the time when I'm suppose to be working on my beading, that's when my mojo for scrapping keeps coming. Sigh... I seriously cannot spend time scrapping if I don't want customers come running after me. But I just couldn't resist. I just had to come up with something for Mod challenge #4 in SNC. We are to create anything, be it a layout, a mini album or anything with the word THANKFUL in it.

I decided to make a canvas LO albeit a small one (4x4). Here's my take:

Very quick and very simple take. Since I had to go out, I just slap some texture paste on the canvas before I left. By the time I came home, it was dry enough to start painting on it. Texture paste is my favourite thing at the moment although I have not the time to explore more with it.

Once the paint is dried, I just add some rub ons, trims, a photo and a scalloped frame. Then titled it with some Thickers alphas and I'm done. But after a while, I decided to add some crackle medium on some parts. You can see some cracks but not that much. I used Jo Sonja Cracke Medium for that but I think I need Ranger Inkssestial Crackle accent as I've seen that it cracks better and easier to use.

And the shoping list goes on and on and on...... oh dear!

The Artist

This is my take for Jaz's Mid August Challenge in Scrappingglitz Forum.

The challenge was to include doodling in our layouts. Honestly, doodling is my worst ever technique. I simply don't do doodle. As you can see, I kept doodling to a minimum for this layout.

ScrappingGlitz's First Online Crop

Last Friday, ScrappingGlitz held it's first ever online crop hosted by Miss Chowchow. It was fun and fast. As usual, I was late coz we were in Sungai Petani for Nadiah's weekly swimming activity. But even so, I managed to finish two layouts.

Here are my takes:

1st challenge:
1) You must incorporate the colour BLUE.
2) Must use buttons
3) Must use stamps

2nd challenge
1) Journalling
2) At least 2 pictures - if you wish to use more - pls feel free
3) 3 types of paper - pls mix wither cardstock with patterned paper
3) At least 2 types of embellishments - anything , ribbons, buttons, chipboards etc

To save time, energy and paper, I used the same pattern papers for both LOs. At least I didn't have to search my whole paper stack for the right ones, and thus i was able to catch up :-D
