What's In A Name

It's December and that means a new challenge at Scrap-It-Lah. This month the challenge is brought to you by DT Jessy and the challenge is to scrap the meaning of your name and to include a childhood photo of yourself. Please go HERE for more details on the challenge.

I chose a picture of myself when I was about 6 at my kindy's sport's day

The papers are from Pink Paislee's Parisian Anthology collection. The colours are whites and pale blues which makes it easy to mist and distress to get that yellowed effect that goes with the photo.

In the journal, I wrote out the meaning of my name - HARYATI which comes from the root word HAYAT that means 'life' in Arabic. Hence the word 'life' in the frame.

Most of the items comes from my Swirlydoos kit, either for November or past months. I especially love that metal frame from Teresa Collins.

So do hop over to Scrap-It-Lah and join in the challenge. The yummy RAK features items from Scarlet Lime scrapbook kit club!!!

Some Updates and Other Stories

First of all I am glad to be back in the virtual world. Since the massive flood that swept northern Malaysia last month I have been so busy with moving and coming back home and cleaning the house. Yes, cleaning the house has been an absolute hell!! But it's all done now and everything is back to normal, and now they are forecasting that there will be a second wave. I just hope that they are wrong.

Anyways, during my 'disappearance', Anam's Sketches2Scrapbook has been officially launched for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It's exciting news and two thumbs up for Anam and the rest of the designers!! Here's some peaks from the iTunes store

As I mentioned in a previous blog post, Anam invited me to make two layouts for the app. I'm only allowed to show sneak peaks of my layouts over here but if you've got the full versions you can view them on sketches #25 and #82.

So if you have an iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch, get this application from iTunes. It's so worth it. The full version is selling for only $4.99 or you can try the demo version for free which has 12 sketches and layouts.

At the moment, Anam is very generously giving away a few codes for the full app. So hop over to Sketches2Scrapbook to join in the draw. Good luck!!!
