'Tis The Season For Giving

As I clear out my scrapping space, I found lots of stuff that I know I will never use. Some I bought years ago, some are RAKs and some are those that I got in mystery boxes that used to buy on eBay. It's not that I don't appreciate gifts that got. I really do but stuff like stickers or rub ons depicting winter and Christmas or Halloween that I don't celebrate, I know I'm not going to use. So in the spirit of giving, I would like to give away some stuff.

Here are some picture of the stash...

There are lots of papers from manufacturers like K&Co, Basic Grey, Luxe Designs, DCWV, Sassafras Lass, Collage Press, American Crafts, Urban Lily and many more.

Stickers, rub ons, chipboard album, matchbook album, brads, eyelets, border quotes, wordlets and loads more.

I will divide these into 5 packages and offer them as RAKs. So if you would like to win one, all you have to do is leave a comment at the end of this post and a week from now, which is on the 3rd January 2010, I will draw 5 names as the winners.

So who's game??

Remember.... just leave a comment by the 3rd January 2010 in order to be included in the draw.

Happy holidays!!!

Friends

Two weeks has gone by in a whoosh and it's time for another Twisted Sketches layout. This week at TS the twist is FRAMES, anyway the word move you (as Anam would say :D). You can see the sketch here and try it out.

Here's my take:

As you can see, rather than framing the picture like in the sketch, I opted for an empty bracket frame around the journaling. Also, I only used one photo instead of two and substituted the vertical photo with a patterned paper.

The 12x12 paper is from Webster's Pages and I have to admit that although I love Webster's Pages, I find it difficult to use the line. I've got almost three complete collections but has probably used 2 or 3 papers so far. I'm glad I made myself use one for this sketch.

So do hop over to the TS blog and try out the sketch or just to admire the other DTs' awesome examples.

On another note, Twisted Sketches is also looking for 4 new DTs. You can read up on what you need to do to be chosen as a Sister here. All the best!!!

Materials used:
Patterned papers: Webster's Pages, Pink Paislee, K&Co. Flowers: Prima Marketing. Pearls: Basic Grey. Journling card: Collage Press. Bracket frame: Crate Paper Company. Alpha stickers: American Crafts. Sticker: My Little Shoebox. Others: lace trim.

Thankful

It's another week for me at Twisted Sketches. How time flies...

Well, this week the twist is FLOURISHES. Please go here to see the sketch and also get inspirations from the other DTs' work.

Here is my take:

That beautiful polka dot paper is actually a flocked paper from 7Gypsies which I got in a RAK. I've been saving it for something special and I guess this layout rates as something special. LOL!!

I very seldom scrap about myself but I've had this photo for so long that it was just calling to me. And to use all my favourite stuff... 7G paper and journalling card, Prima blings, American Craft Thickers alphas and part of a Teresa Collins calendar paper. Give it a little distress look and I'm done!

The jurnalling reads:
I am thankful for the joy that I've been given and for the life that I've been blessed with.

So hop over to Twisted Sketches and give this sketch a go!!!

Daughter

This month I am very honoured to have been chosen as the Guest DT for Scrap-It-Lah, our local challenge blog being run by 2 very talented ladies, Michelle and Jessy. These two ladies are amongst the first few scrappers that I got to know when I first started scrapbooking.

For the challenge, I would like you to create a layout or any project with:

1. something green
2. a black & white photo(s)
3. includes a quote

This is my take:

The quote goes:

A daughter is...
a star glimmering in the sky,
a wonder, a sweetness,
a perception,
a delight.
Everything beautiful.
A daughter is love...
- Susan Poles Schultz

Do hop over to Scrap-It-Lah and try out the challenge and also to ohh and ahhh at the DTs samples.

And big hugs to Mich and Jessy for having me as the Guest DT for this month. You guys are the BEST!!

So go on, try the challenge and you might win yourself some cool SB stash!!!
