Scotland Mini Album

This month I received a lovely kit from Scrappingville. One of the projects that I was to do was a mini album on travel. I had a really fun time making this album and I put a lot of work and effort and some love too in this one. And I'm proud to see the end result. I hope you like what you see.

Some details in the album

I love those tiny mirror cubes. I can't stop using them in the album!!

That flower center is actually a scarf pin which I bought at the William Wallace Monument gift shop while on my trip. I love that pin and was only too happy to be able to use it in this album.

Love this Maya Road postcard rub ons. Just so cute!!

Brad Crazy

I made this LO for fun when I found these pictures of myself in my college days. At that time I was crazy over Brad..... ehem, ehem.. the Pitt kind, not the scrapbooking brads. As you can see, my room was full of pictures of Brad...

Oh, the good old days.....

Groovy Princess

Just a simple layout of Nadiah when she was a year and a half. Back when her hair was still curly.. :-D

I used my handmade jumbo paperclip which I made for a swap.

Hmm... just realised that in the journaling I wrote she was 2+ years. But this picture was definitely taken when she was 1+. I need to go and amend that!!

I Just Love Presents!!

Who doesn't love presents, right???

This year, on my birthday, I received A LOT of birthday wishes either through the mail, SMSes, digitally or just plain wishing right to my face!!! I made lots of new friends this past year mainly through scrapbooking. Don't you just love scrapbooking and how it brings you closer to some people?

I just want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you again to all who wished me a lovely birthday and I wish YOU ALL a happy and beautiful life for always!!

This year, all of my presents are SB related. I guess people do know me well, or maybe I've been great at hinting for what I would like *wink wink*. But seriously, some things I just didn't expect and my fav pressie for this year is this:

I've been wanting this for a long time and have always been putting it off. I really didn't expect this. Thank you, YOU!!

----------------------------------------------------------------

I received two more handmade presents on my trip to KL recently. I love handmade articles. It means I am the only one who has them. And I appreciate the love that goes in the making....

From Nad

From Mich

Thanks, you guys!! I really love them and they are now hanging beautifully in my scrap area.

Travel Layouts

I haven't done much scrapping these past few weeks. However, there are some 8x8 travel layouts that I did to fill up my ever neglected travel album. These are simple, single photo layouts which I finished in just one sitting.

As you can see, I've used a lot of my travel/vacation embellishments for the layouts. Why? Because I want them gone so I won't feel guilty when I buy Making Memories Passport Collection. They are just delish!!! I know I'm not going to be able to resist them!! Hahaa....!!!

I've Been Featured

Yes, I've been featured in Scrapping Inspirations. It's a neat blog where you can find loads of tips and techniques, wonderful local artists being featured and links to other creative persons around the world. I go there every other day to check out on what's new in the scrapbooking scene around Malaysia.

SI's sole aim is to promote scrapbooking in Malaysia and I think it has taken tremendous steps in doing so. I can't wait for more activities from the blog and am looking forward to participating in them.

Thanks Mich, for choosing me as the featured artist for the week!!

Scrap It Altered Notebook

Do you sometimes find yourself getting an inspiration at an unlikely place and you can't seem to find a decent piece of scrap paper to write it down? Are you a compulsive list maker and you HAVE to make a list of everything and there's nowhere to write it?

In my case, it's a yes to both questions. I try to make a point of always having a notebook and a pen (what's the use of a notebook without a pen, and vice versa eh?) in my handbag. I have this notebook that's a jumble of information in it like the grocery list, list of things to bring if we're going somewhere, sketches, list of things to do for the month, drawings of the Teletubbies for Nadiah and all sorts of colourful animal drawings etc, etc, etc...

So one day I thought, I'll buy a notebook specially for scrapbooking and while I'm at it, I might as well alter the covers. At the same time, it'll be my altered project for ScrappingGlitz. Killing two birds with one stone, so to speak.

Friends In My Life Mini Album

Made this mini album for ScrappingGlitz using Kaisercraft scalloped mini album. I love Kaiser mini albums because it's wooden and thus the pages are nice and thick.

Storing Clear Stamps

I'm always looking for ways to keep my stash organised. Lately I have been organising my clear stamps. Although in the beginning I used empty CD cases, but when it comes to those big stamp packages like 12x12 Fancy Pants and A4 sized Prima Marketing stamps, I sometimes loads of CD cases to fit hem all.

So I was browsing on the net one day and saw Tim Holtz Idea-ology Stamp Binder. As you can see from the prince, it is a little steep for my budget coz I would rather spend that sort of money for stash. So I scraplifted Tim's idea and made one of my own.

Ta-da....

I just took the printed image of the stamps that came with the package, and laminated the sheet. Then just stick the clear stamps on them. It's cheap, it's tidy and it works just as well as the binder. The whole thing cost me less than RM 20.00

Chopsticks

I'm hosting a MONOCHROMATIC layout challenge in ScrappingGlitz Forum. A monochromatic layout is when you create a layout using different shades of one root colour. In my case, I used red. It's a good practise if you feel intimidated by a variety of colours and you don't know what colour goes with what in your layout.

So hop on over to the forum to take part in the challenge. Click here.

The layout is of Nadiah eating her noodles with chopsticks. Originally, we taught her to use chopsticks mainly to improve her fine motor skills. Plus, she loves noodles and was curious to try it when she see Baba expertly handling the chopsticks. And she's sooo good at it!! I've been learning to use chopsticks since I was her age and 30 years later... I still suck at it!!

Yummy Pizza

It's a new sketch for ScrappingGlitz Forum this month.
