Home Is Where Happy Memories Grow

I finished an album today for Artz de Scrap April challenge. The challenge is:

Home can have different meanings to each and everyone of us. We want you to showcase what you think Home means

To title your album: Home is where...

I enjoyed making this album. Mostly because of the shape of the album. But I think I spent way too much time of the fence...

So here's my take:

SnC ATC Swap

We have another ATC swap at SnC. I love ATCs. They're small and cute and thus very small area to embellish. The only fuss about ATC swaps is that you have to make a lot of them. This time there are 12 to be made and I don't think I can come up with 12 different designs. And so I decided on 2 designs: 6 of each.
Each ATCs must have two things: paint and stamping

For the second design, I used Mod Podge to adhere the beads to the paper. I just dab some Mod Podge and sprinkled the beads. When it's dried, I dab more Mod Podge over the beads to hold everything in. The only problem is, you can see the stain of the adhesive and in this last picture, even more so...

That Sweet Smile

This is for Scrappin Kids Unik April challenge. The challenge is to scrap that unique feature of your child that you just love. Mine is about Nadiah's smile. Oh that sweet smile that just brightens up her face. I so adore it!! I know I've scrapped this photo before but that almost shy smile in this photo is just so irresistible.

Queenstown

A layout I made for Lovescrap April challenge. Sketch was taken from Page Maps and we are to scrap about a memorable day or moment.

Home Is Where The Heart Is

I was passing through the kitchen one day and saw an unused heart shaped cake board just lying around. I suddenly thought that it would be good to alter. And so I played around with stamps and embossing powders and came up with this.

Because the board is made of wood, I got hubby to use a driller to drill holes for the chains. He's so sweet. Even bought me the chains from the hardware store too! I always knew I married the right handyman!! ;D

Crop Parties

I've been really bad at updating my blog. The crop parties were a week ago and only now am I updating. The first day was at Scrappingville and the second was at Scrap-n-Crop. I have been building up the excitement for more than a month to attend the cropping. It was my first actual cropping session and the best part is that I get to meet the ladies whom I've only been chatting to through the forum. Liza, Wati, Sal and Deedah came all the way from Singapore. We all just hit it off as if we've known each other for ages. I guess when you've been following a person's scrap work, you tend to know the person even more.
Ladies, it was great meeting up with you all. I hope we can do it again soon!!

Admittedly, I didn't take that much pictures. But you can view some here and here.

We did a lot of projects and one that I'm particularly happy with was the 4x4 canvas work. It was my first try on a canvas and I simply loved it!!!

More of the LOs that I did during the cropping at Scrappingville

At the SnC party, we only made 1 LO although I didn't actually finished it at the crop because I was too busy shopping :D.

All in all, i had a great time at the parties. Though there were some glitches but the company more than made up for it!!
